The well-known ski world cup town of Schladming in Austria has been hosting the Alpentour Trophy since 2008 and its organisers have been able to create a stress-free ski and family-friendly event for the participants and their accompanying supporters, families and friends. Located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, Schladming is surrounded by magnificent mountains and offers the very best conditions for the Alpentour Trophy: four different stages start and finish in the same place, all except the individual time-trial, which finishes on top of the Planai Mountain, the Schafalm.
Numerous hotels are located very closely to the start and finishing area. You don’t have to worry about packing/unpacking every day, which can be very stressful for the participants, because you can stay in the same spot throughout the entire event. Family members and friends can be right in the middle of all the action, as the daily “king of the mountain“ destinations can be reached very easily – either with an own vehicle or with the cable car to cheer on their riders.
